Dear Sisters and Brothers,
As a follow-up to Bulletin No. 33 dated September 2022. The matter was brought back in front of the arbitrator on May 24, 2023. Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve this case at this hearing and are now booking an additional date later this fall.
We understand the frustration and concerns of the affected members and the Union continues push for a resolution in the near future. However, we are aware that cases of this magnitude can be very lengthy. The matter in this case is more complicated and multifaceted than originally anticipated. We expect a resolution in the coming months with a commitment from all parties including the arbitrator to finalize with a decision after concluding the next dates.
The matter will move forward in the fall at a date to be determined soon. As soon as we have confirmed the date, we will notify the membership.
As always, we thank you for your continued patience and support.
